Job Description:

Position Summary: The position is responsible for leading the SCO (Supply Chain Operations) teams governance around Operational Excellence, performance & risk management. This person will have a link into the Mobile Manufacturing Sites central organisations in AOS (Airbus Operating System excellence), Risk Management, CapEX Management & Performance Management feeding both weekly and monthly standard governances.

The scope of AOS management will link to preparing the SCO monthly and yearly assessments (internal and external) on the PCL (Planning, Control & Logistics) AOS Brick with the ambition to drive to the highest level of AOS maturity across the entire PCL perimeter.

With regards to Risk, CapEX and Performance Management within SCO, the selected individual with be expected to collate and challenge the inputs from the sub-organisations in SCO (Planning, Central Logistics, Lineside Logistics & Heavy Handling) while working with the respective Data Analysts to ensure continuity in the data and data visualisations.

Primary Responsibilities:

#Support & Challenge the Flow as per the OTE Organisational Framework within Supply Chain Operations, Mobile Manufacturing Site.

Provide direction and structured governance in the Supply Chain Operations Organisation.

  • Construct the internal SCO governance framework in support of the Mobile Manufacturing Sites:

    • Monthly Business/ Performance Review.

    • Weekly / Monthly/ Quarterly CapEX Governance.

    • Monthly Risk Reviews.

    • Weekly / Monthly AOS Site Governance

Work with the Mobile Site Finance team and structure the governance for Cost Consolidation of the Supply Chain Operations perimeter.

  • Particular focus on:

    • Headcount/ recruitment

    • CapEx for Supply Chain

    • Other Cost drivers as appropriate

Drive the creation, deployment and (if necessary) recovery or re-planning of the Supply Chain Operations AOS Roadmap in support of the overall Mobile Manufacturing Sites AOS Ambition.

Digitalisation and Data Management within Supply Chain Operations

  • Particular focus on:

    • Securing data integrity and consistency across the different sub-organisations within Supply Chain Operations.

    • Be a leader on the journey of digitalisation as we move between old and new systems and tools.

    • Support the wider objectives within Supply Chain Operations using data analysis, helping to turn data into information to drive business decisions.

    • Where required, help build dashboards and links to databases to streamline the data management within Supply Chain Operations.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

  • BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience

  • Advanced oral and written communication skills are required along with comprehensive knowledge of company policies and procedures and work flow processes

  • Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organisation both verbally and in writing

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and six sigma principles

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working within the community of Supply Chain, Warehousing and Logistics

  • 5 years Logistics/Supply Chain Experience in data analytics and information management

  • Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience

  • Proven capability of strong communication and presentation skills

  • Experience in consulting and business performance management

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Environmental protection in accordance with ISO 14001

  • Introduction of common operation-instructions of plant processes

  • Analysing and improving processes in accordance with Six-Sigma-methods

  • Occupational health and safety regulations

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Contractual / legal experience

  • Experience in implementation of service level agreements

  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation

  • Experience with project management

  • Sound working knowledge of health, safety and environmental

  • Experience in methods of producing and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

  • Strong analytical skills

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Knowledge of common applications such as SAP/R3 (Module PP/PM)

Travel Required:

  • 15% Domestic and 15% International

  • Accountable for LSP/3PL performance obligations and fully empowered to represent local Airbus Logistics Operations for both programs.

Organizational information:

The Supply Chain Operational Excellence role will report into the Site Planning & Ops Excellence team along with the Site Planners and SCO Data Analysts. While this position has 0 direct reports, there will be a leadership element to this role as the individual provides direction to the wider SCO team through regular governance that they will lead.

Job Dimensions, Contributions to Success:

Supply Chain Operational Excellence is the primary responsible for SCO monthly governance, AOS roadmap maturity, Risk & Performance Management for the Supply Chain Operations organisation

Nature of Contacts:

  • Liaise and coordinate directly with the OT organisation (specifically with OTO, OTE & OTX)

  • Communicates regularly with internal and external parties (Mobile Manufacturing Site and wider Airbus community)

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions. Must be able to read wire numbers, and differentiate colors

  • Hearing: Able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.

  • Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.

  • Carrying: Able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.

  • Lifting: Able to occasionally lift up to 30lbs/14kg.

  • Pushing/Pulling: Able to push/pull items in office areas.

  • Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.

  • Squatting/Kneeling: Able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.

  • Standing: Able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information.

  • Travel/Mobility: Able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time on short notice.

  • Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
