Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Energetic Operations Professional t to conduct comprehensive research and analysis of issues related to energetics and energetic operations. The professional will engage in studies ranging from broad conceptual issues to specific technical challenges, identifying operational gaps and proposing solutions. This role will involve formulating desired outcomes, defining paths forward, and determining the necessary resources and time required for implementation, as per the Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) A007.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Research and Analysis:





  • Conduct in-depth research on energetics and energetic operations, ranging from broad strategic concepts to specific technical issues.





  • Analyze current capabilities, challenges, and gaps in comparison to best-in-class practices in the field of energetics.





  • Identification of Gaps and Solutions:





  • Identify critical issues and operational gaps based on research findings.





  • Propose conceptual ways ahead and develop strategies to close gaps and improve operational capabilities.





  • Determine the resources, time, and actions needed to implement the proposed solutions.





  • Reporting and Documentation:





  • Produce detailed reports outlining research findings, identified issues, proposed solutions, and suggested improvements in accordance with CDRL A007.





  • Provide actionable insights that align with organizational goals and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of energetics and operations.





  • Collaboration and Communication:





  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure that findings and recommendations are aligned with the organization's priorities and strategies.





  • Present findings and recommendations clearly and effectively, both in written reports and oral presentations.




Qualifications:




  • Senior-Level:





  • Experience: A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in energetics, energetic operations, or a related field.





  • Education: Master's degree in Operations Research, Management Science, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.





  • Security Clearance: Top Secret (TS) security clearance required.





  • Desired:





  • Military Experience: Former military experience with knowledge of energetics, operations, or technical systems.





  • Technical Expertise: Background in explosives, munitions testing, or materials science.




Skills & Competencies:




  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address gaps in energetics and operational systems.





  • Proficient in analyzing complex systems and proposing effective, actionable solutions.





  • Ability to develop strategic, operationally relevant recommendations and conceptualize pathways for improvement.





  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings.





  • Understanding of energetics technologies, materials science, and military operational requirements.





  • Capable of working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
