Department Summary The Department of English strives to promote a greater understanding of literature and culture; to add to literary tradition by fostering new works of poetry, fiction and nonfiction; to innovate in writing instruction, and to investigate the history of persuasive writing. Position Overview The Department of English is seeking a Lecturer in English which will be a three-year, renewable full-time position. Responsibilities for the position include teaching four courses each semester and providing service to the department. This position includes a competitive salary and includes benefits. Minimum Qualifications MFA or PhD in English, Composition Studies, or related field. Demonstrated excellence in first-year writing instruction. Preparedness to teach at an HSI or MSI institution. Preferred Qualifications Experience or expertise teaching developmental writing.
