Senior Procurement Manager

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager (Materials and Inventory) for our Procurementteam.

The Senior Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization's inventory management processes within the Oracle system. This leadership role will involve ensuring smooth end-user operations, managing administrative aspects of inventory, and facilitating seamless month-end inventory reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Oracle inventory management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

This position reports to National Procurement Director. This role is hybrid and is based in Somerville, MA.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement a supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's operational and financial goals. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and establish risk mitigation plans to ensure efficient logistics and procurement operations.
  • Oversee the receiving process to ensure accurate and timely recording of items into inventory.
  • Monitor and manage cycle counting activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Review and approve physical inventory adjustments as necessary.
  • Validate and confirm failed transactions to ensure system integrity.
  • Perform cost adjustments to reflect accurate inventory valuations.
  • Establish and maintain new inventory organizations, ensuring alignment with general ledger (GL) structures.
  • Oversee month-end inventory confirmation processes, ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation.
  • Generate and analyze inventory valuation reports to support financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Oversee multi-site supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency in procurement, logistics, and supplier coordination across various locations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and senior leadership, to develop and execute enterprise-wide supply chain initiatives.
  • Assist in creating supply chain metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools to enhance accountability and operational efficiency.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and design strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring continuity of operations.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and compliance to ensure alignment with company standards and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and procurement activities to optimize working capital and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
  • Establish new procurement processes and frameworks to lay the foundation for a structured and scalable department.


Basic Requirements:



  • Over 6 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or vendor management.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Oracle Inventory modules and related functionalities.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in forecasting and process improvement.
  • Proven experience in cost-saving strategies, lean operations, and process development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Understanding of basic financial concepts related to procurement and inventory management.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation


Preferred Requirements:



  • A Master's degree in supply chain management or an MBA.
  • Experience with procurement software, ERP systems, or supply chain management tools.
  • Knowledge of industry's best practices and emerging trends in supply chain management.
  • A proven track record of driving cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Experience in a high-growth, multi-location environment.
  • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, CPSM, CSCP, or PMP, along with experience in regulatory compliance for procurement and supply chain operations.
