Our INVISTA Orange, TX facility is seeking entrepreneurial, innovative leaders to join the team as a Process Operator.

Our Team

Process Operators are responsible for operating equipment to safely produce chemical products according to specified operating procedures while maintaining environmental compliance and reporting standards. Process Operators will also be expected to own and execute different levels of maintenance to the area equipment to ensure reliability. Process Operators are assigned to production units and may be required to move from one production unit to another.

What You Will Do

* Complete all required field qualifications within a specified timeline.
* Operate process equipment in accordance with established procedures, production plans, and safety guidelines.
* Ensure adherence to environmental standards and fulfill reporting requirements.
* Participate in proactive safety initiatives, including emergency drills and incident analysis, to prevent accidents and environmental incidents.
* Conduct routine inspections to identify and address any abnormalities or necessary adjustments.
* Apply an operational excellence mindset to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
* Pursue and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the unit to maintain competitiveness.
* Value and practice teamwork by seeking and sharing knowledge to create additional value.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Degree in Process Technology or Instrumentation Technology with 2+ years' experience as an Operator in a refinery or chemical plant

OR

* Relevant military experience with transferable skills

What Will Put You Ahead

* Degree in Process Technology or Instrumentation Technology with 5+ years' experience as an Operator in a refinery or chemical plant
* Proficient in using SAP
* Actively served on an emergency response team
* Skilled in advanced process troubleshooting
* Demonstrated capability in leading and participating in root cause analysis (RCA) activities

Physical Requirements

* Must be capable of meeting all physical demands as determined by a Physical Abilities Test, including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds, wearing all necessary PPE, and working in varied climates and conditions
* Due to the nature of field operations, candidates must be medically fit to wear a full-face respirator and maintain a clean-shaven face
* Perform basic mechanical tasks as required, such as pulling and installing valves and assembling flanges
* This position requires working a 12-hour rotating shift schedule with mandatory overtime to ensure 24/7 staffing coverage

This role is subject to a pre-hire physical abilities test.
