Your Role and Team - Inpatient Rehabilitation Therapy:

Join our energetic Inpatient Rehab Therapy team that values collaboration and teamwork to help patients discharge to an appropriate community setting. Our Inpatient Rehab team at Salem Health provides intensive therapy (3 hours per day, 5 days out of the week) with patients who have experienced stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation and other rehabilitation diagnosis.

Physical Therapist: Our Physical Therapists play an integral role in the planning and implementation of the plan of care and discharge planning. As part of our team, you are encouraged and supported as you broaden your professional knowledge by working closely with other therapy providers, care managers, allied health specialists, physicians, and advanced practice providers. You have the opportunity to engage in growth and development using annual continuing education/paid days off and ongoing mentorship.

LPTA: Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA) plays an integral role in the planning and implementation of Physical Therapy services and discharge planning. As part of our team, you are encouraged and supported as you broaden your professional knowledge by working closely with other therapy providers, care managers, allied health specialists, physicians, and advanced practice providers. You have the opportunity to engage in growth and development using annual continuing education/paid days off and ongoing mentorship.

Your Background and Expertise:

  • Licensed Physical Therapist or Therapy Assistant with the State of Oregon, required within 90 Days of hire.

  • BS, MS, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy required -OR- Associate of Sciences, Graduate of a physical therapist assistant training program accredited by the CAPTE.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Clinical experience in the practice setting required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 Days of hire.
  • Be a team player and have proven success applying team approach to obtain resolution to an issue.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills for working with the rehabilitation team and patients.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to change while working in high volume multidisciplinary setting.
  • Lead small groups, ability to divide attention.
  • Demonstrates competency by implementing age culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate treatment plans and by appropriate documentation.
