What to Expect

The Sr. Regulatory & Market Compliance Engineer will facilitate and manage all aspects of compliancein accordance withNERC, FERC, State, and ISO guidelines. This person will be responsible for ensuring that all existing and future projects remain compliant with these regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in developing and maintaining energy regulatory compliance programs and procedures. They will also have experience in regular reporting and performing compliance audits of Energy projects and generating facilities.

This role may sit out of Austin, TX or Fremont, CA.


What You'll Do
  • Facilitate and manage compliance with NERC, state, ISO, and federal energy regulatory compliance
  • Develop and maintain compliance operating and planning procedures in accordance with NERC, FERC, and ISO guidelines
  • Support new projects by providing NERC registration, attestation, and continuous regulatory compliance reporting
  • Analyze and evaluate compliance deficiencies in existing and upcoming projects and provide the necessary support to bring the projects into compliance
  • Provide recommendations to engineering and support groups to ensure the project design specifications meet NERC BES reliability standards
  • Develop record keeping for training, standard changes, and maintenance evidence within the guidelines of NERC standards
  • Provide regular audits of compliance and regulatory standards with new and existing projects

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree, Engineering preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience managing regulatory compliance within an Energy organization including NERC standards and compliance programs
  • Strong ability to read and understand project technical documentation, including electrical diagrams, engineering reports, and engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of Market functions and processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical writing skills preferred

    Expected Compensation
    $80,000 - $186,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
