Vaco is hiring for an Interim Accounting Manager role in Akron OHJob Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled financial consultant to support reconciliation and financial search & discovery efforts. This role will focus on reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards. The consultant will also assist in identifying discrepancies, improving internal controls, and optimizing financial processes to enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Conduct detailed reconciliations of financial transactions, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and balance sheets. Analyze historical financial data to identify inconsistencies, errors, or gaps in records and provide actionable recommendations. Perform internal audits of financial activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards. Support the identification and correction of discrepancies within financial statements, vendor listings, and chart of accounts. Assist in updating and improving financial reporting systems and processes for enhanced accuracy and transparency. Collaborate with internal teams to document and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Provide insights and recommendations on financial best practices to optimize efficiency and strengthen financial governance. Work closely with leadership to support data gathering and audit preparation efforts. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred. Proven experience in financial reconciliation, auditing, and financial analysis. Strong knowledge of GAAP standards, internal controls, and financial reporting practices.
