Vaco is assisting a client identify a Payroll Analyst and you will be responsible for managing the entire payroll process for US and Canadian employees. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll, compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a culture of trust and efficiency within the payroll team. Key Responsibilities: * Payroll Processing Management: o Oversee and lead the end-to-end payroll process for US and Canada, including data collection, validation, and processing for all employees across various states and provinces. o Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions, while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements. o Address and resolve any payroll-related discrepancies, issues, or inquiries in a timely and effective manner. o Reviews and reconciles payroll records for accuracy. o Supports annual preparation and delivery of W-2s. o Completes payroll tax registration with applicable state agencies. o Support M&A integration activities to ensure a seamless transition of newly onboarded portfolio companies. Qualifications and Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, FPC) are a plus. * Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in payroll, including multi-state and multi-province payroll processing. * Strong knowledge and experience with Workday or similar payroll systems. * Demonstrated leadership skills with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred. * Deep understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in both the U.S. and Canada. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. * High proficiency with Excel.
