Pay Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00

Position Summary:

The Business Systems Analyst role is to plan, design and launch efficient information systems, processes and operations in support of organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems and process issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. This individual will be a liaison between business units/departments and the IT Departments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, design, development and deployment of new system applications and enhancements to existing applications
  • Meet with business owners/department managers, system owners and en users to define business requirements and system goals and identify and resolve business systems and processes issues
  • Provide data processing, E-channels, system applications and project management support
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of computing systems
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and processes and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems and processes
  • Recommends business process improvements, operational efficiencies, cost savings, revenue opportunities
  • Assist in creating system design proposals
  • Assist in performing business process analyses, needs assessments and cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions and align information technology solutions with business initiatives
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems
  • Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
  • Provide orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems
  • Participate in modifying procedures to solve problems considering business limitations, system operation time and capacity limitations and the form of desired results
  • Participate in the process review and re-engineering for any bank process through a formal methodology to improve efficiencies and profits and be a source of competitive advantage
  • Prepare project plans and implementation schedules
  • Work with vendors regarding upgrades, patches, issues resolution and system functionality
  • Manage, implement and organize projects
  • Accountable for being the Sr. Business Analyst back-up
  • Act as a consultant on the use of the data processing and E-channel systems
  • Participate in other duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor/manager
  • Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations; adhering to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies

Knowledge/Abilities/Experience and Training Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of Banking experience
  • Minimum 2 years of training experience
  • Minimum 2 years of business systems/applications implementation experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with outside vendors
  • Preferred Experience - Working knowledge of SQL
  • Working knowledge of computer systems (hardware and software)
  • Some experience in overseeing the design, development and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems and or products.
  • Some experience leading complex projects.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (team building, management & participation)
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Data bases management and report creation skills
  • As necessary, off business work hours and weekend work required.
  • Strong Decision-making skill (decisions of this position produce short- and long-term impacts to the department and organization)
