Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner
needed for a part-time contract
opportunity with Yoh's well-known client located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.


This is located at a smaller clinic that offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. Job starts ASAP and will be ongoing until further notice (potential temp-to-hire!): Monday/Wednesday/Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm.


Top Skills You Should Possess:


  • Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (FNP or ANP) license in state of California
  • Passionate about promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace
  • Required: minimum 3 years' experience as a NP in an Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Corrections, and/or Family Practice type setting



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Treat minor work-related and non-work related injuries and illnesses for employees onsite
  • Perform onsite physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty)
  • Triage
  • Dispense over the counter and prescription medications in accordance with pre-established standing orders to employees with minor work-related and non-work related concerns (back pain, headache, pharyngitis, etc)
  • Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia
  • Work closely with Risk Management and Human Resources teams in relation to work-related injuries
  • TB tests, drug screens, injections, and blood draws
  • Respond to emergencies on the campus as needed



What You Need to Bring to the Table:

  • Active BLS
  • Current prescription authority (DEA a plus)
  • Strong computer skills with previous experience using EMR and Microsoft Office products
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients and interact with employees
  • Very confident with clinical decision making skills
