Senior Analyst, Gross to Net Accounting and Planning

Position Summary:

This role will support gross-to-net accounting and financial planning across the organization's commercial products. The individual will serve as a key contact for FP&A, Accounting, Market Access, Trade and Distribution and our internal/external auditors. The role will report to the Revenue Planning & Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities Include:



  • Ensure all revenue streams adhere to ASC 606 and US GAAP accounting standards.
  • Develop estimates to account for discounts, rebates, returns, allowances, and other adjustments that reduce gross revenue.
  • Execute month and quarter end revenue close activities including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, analyses, and controls ensuring compliance with SOX.
  • Support SEC 10Q and 10K disclosure requirements with respect to revenue-related reporting.
  • Manage order to cash, working collaboratively with 3PL to ensure payments are received timely and AR is reflective of the most accurate balance.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Analyze financial results providing reports to management on revenue performance, gross-to-net trends, and variances to budget.
  • Assist in developing policies, creating SOPS, and streamlining processes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
  • Other duties as assigned


Education, Registration & Certification:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required, CPA or CMA preferred.


Experience:



  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, finance, or combination of public accounting and industry experience.
  • Experience in a publicly traded life sciences company is a plus.
  • Experience with S4 Hana and Adaptive Insights is a plus.


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:



  • Knowledge of SEC Reporting, SOX 404, and US GAAP, especially around revenue recognition (ASC 606).
  • Proactive in streamlining processes and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings.
  • Time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail, yet ability to maintain an "80/20" mindset.
  • Personal drive and passion to understand the business.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:



  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets. This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


Travel Requirements:



  • Up to 20% travel expected.
