Job Description:

As an Unclaimed Property Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in managing our unclaimed property compliance and consulting services. You will help lead a team of talented professionals and deliver unclaimed property solutions to clients including state compliance, risk mitigation, audit support, strategic planning and process enhancement. You will network both internally and externally and be a thought leader with opportunities to present and author topics relevant to the unclaimed property industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee unclaimed property compliance and consulting projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for clients in accordance with state laws and regulations
  • Provide subject matter expertise to clients on projects such as state and third-party examinations, voluntary disclosure agreements, exposure quantifications and general consulting
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering strategic insights and guidance to help them optimize their unclaimed property processes
  • Identify opportunities to assist current and new clients with unclaimed property issues or bring in Crowe professionals to address other areas of concern
  • Manage and mentor a team of professionals, fostering their growth and development within the firm
  • Stay current with and act as a thought leader regarding industry trends, legislative changes, and emerging practices in the field of unclaimed property and state and local tax

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA, JD, APM, or CAPP required
  • 8+ years experience in unclaimed property compliance, consulting, or related state and local tax or auditing work
  • Strong knowledge of state unclaimed property laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven experience in team leadership and project management
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology tools (e.g., Microsoft Office 365, FSI, Alteryx)

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $120,500.00 - $302,500.00 per year.
