The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and multitasking skills, proficiency in data entry, and excellent communication abilities, which are essential for this role. Join us in making a difference in the lives of cancer patients through innovative clinical research and compassionate care. This position is a temporary 12-month position, renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward goals. Purpose: The Clinical Research Coordinator will coordinate IRB activities and prepare and maintain compliance documents. Additionally, this position will recruit and screen patients for clinical trials, coordinate all aspects of patient visits and data collection. The role also involves scheduling procedures, updating patient status in trackers, entering data in clinical trial management systems, and processing and shipping blood samples. Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years or Master's degree and one (1) year of related experience coordinating research studies. Able to independently perform study start-up activities, recruit and consent subjects, organize scheduled study visits between subject and multiple providers, complete all required study activities during study visits, enter data into Electronic Data Capture systems, assist with monitoring visits, correct any incomplete tasks or items identified by the study monitor, and any other duties as instructed. Able to collaborate and communicate well in a diverse environment. Manage day-to-day activities. The ability to communicate with others in a clear, understandable and professional manner on the phone and in person; demonstrated use of good written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable with speaking with patients, including by phone or virtual video visit to collect data. Must possess effective project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize and schedule work in an efficient and productive manner, focusing on key priorities and meeting deadlines. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Salary Range$48,000+ depending on qualifications Preferred Qualifications: Experience communicating with patients with serious illness. Proficient in the use of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Endnote (or other reference management tool), and REDCap. Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
