Join Our Team as a Software Developer
The Software Developer is responsible for design, development, and support work on new and existing products in such a way to enhance or maintain their value, profitability and/or importance to the company.

What you'll do
  • Develop and modify applications programs of a high degree of complexity and scope
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document programs
  • Carry out or participate in problem analysis and system design preparatory to the development of programs as appropriate to their level
  • Give technical assistance to less experienced developers and collaborate with peers on development tasks
  • Keep related groups and management informed of progress and support requirements
  • Interface effectively with engineers, developers, management, and other peers within the same discipline and with other disciplines
  • Respond in a timely manner, meet commitments, and treat peers with respect. Works at a high technical level during all phases of applications programming activities
  • Work from basic systems designs and specifications and use standard procedures and techniques to maintain, modify, and devise new or existing applications programs of moderate complexity and scope
  • Stay current on best practices in technology
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience
  • 2-3 years of experience with web technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, node and npm
  • Experience building non-trivial applications in Vue.js or another modern Javascript framework (React, Angular, etc.)
  • Experience and working knowledge of .NET Core, C#, and MSSQL. Java experience will also be considered.
  • Experience working with REST and developing RESTful services
  • Experience with writing unit tests and their relevant technologies (Vitest, Jest, Moq, etc.)
  • Experience working with a version control system like Git, Bitbucket, Subversion or Mercurial
  • Experience working on an Agile scrum team
  • Experience working in a fast paced, collaborative environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knows and understands basic concepts and procedures in one of the development disciplines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent work ethic, positive attitude and sense of urgency
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with TypeScript and other frontend libraries and technologies like Vite, Storybook, etc.
  • Experience with CSS preprocessors like SCSS, SASS, LESS, etc.
  • Experience with Entity Framework or other ORMs (Dapper, Hibernate, etc.)

Physical Demands:
While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. Work Environment:
Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. However, there may be job duties that require the employee to spend time in the manufacturing areas exposed to machinery and noise; eye protection occasionally required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
