Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Shop Floor Business Systems Analyst!

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically adept Shopfloor Business Systems Analyst to join our innovative printing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight, advanced optimization, and seamless operation of our shopfloor control systems. This role is pivotal in maintaining our production efficiency, adherence to standards, and overall operational excellence.

Your Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Oversee, maintain and implement shopfloor control systems by working with the PJM, Monarch and Prepress development and support teams to ensure seamless integration with production processes and IT infrastructure.
  • Optimization: Conduct in-depth analysis and implement improvements to enhance system performance, efficiency, and reliability through the use of existing and new technology.
  • Technical Support: Provide functional support of configurations and integrations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to shopfloor control systems.
  • Training: Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff, ensuring proficiency in the use of shopfloor control systems and related technologies.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system architectures, configurations, processes, and procedures, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality assurance protocols to monitor and ensure that production activities comply with established standards and regulatory requirements if applicable
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with IT, production managers, and other stakeholders to align system capabilities with business objectives and technological advancements.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously modernize and enhance our control systems.

You Must Have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, relevant experience or a related technical field
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing complex shopfloor control systems, preferably within the printing industry or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive knowledge of shopfloor control systems, including hardware and software components, SQL, Scripting and other no-code low code applications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Communication: Superior written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing technical projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to rapidly evolving technologies and processes in a high-paced production environment.
  • Team Player: Strong collaborative skills, with a track record of leading technical teams and driving cross-functional initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Experience with Printing Technologies: In-depth familiarity with printing processes, machinery, and industry-specific control systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of database management, and system integration principles.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and practices, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in software tools and applications relevant to shopfloor control, data analytics, and process automation.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $115,000 - $130,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employee.
