Supervisor, Health, Wellness & Fitness

Job Description

Supervises and coordinates the daily operations and staff of the athletic training services including the monitoring/administering of patient evaluations and quality of care in accordance with the written and signed orders of a physician or other state authorized practitioner.

Job Responsibility

• Promotes Health, Wellness & Fitness department goals by selecting, motivating, and training capable team members.
• Leads the activities of assigned Health, Wellness & Fitness team members by communicating and providing guidance toward achieving department objectives.
• Prioritizes schedules, assigns and monitors work to optimize operational service.
• Analyzes, recommends, implements and monitors approved work-flow changes.
• Supervises, hires, trains, disciplines and evaluates the performance of staff; ensures performance appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
• Participates in the development and implementation of pertinent policies and procedures.
• Participates in the development of the annual operating budget.
• Supervises quality assurance activities and maintains related documentation.
• Ensures the operation and maintenance of equipment.

Job Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Current License to practice as an Athletic Trainer in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• 4-6 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership / management experience, required.
