This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedication and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Apply your real-world experience and knowledge to help integrate, test, and troubleshoot propulsion systems and vehicle components for spaceflight systems. Contribute to all aspects of spacecraft and propulsion hardware manufacturing, assembly, and testing as part of a diverse and dedicated team.

Special Mentions:

  • Relocation is provided, if eligible.
  • Day shift available: Monday - Thursday (5am - 3:30pm).

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Production and maintenance of aerospace hardware and equipment.
  • Installation of electrical wire harnesses and instrumentation.
  • Assist engineers in reviewing design concepts, providing feedback for improvements.
  • Review and follow work instructions for complex mechanical installations/fabrication.
  • Innovate to improve processes and increase efficiency of operations.
  • Tack welding sheet metal and/or foil applications.
  • Structures fabrication and repair.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and equipment for assembly, test, and maintenance of propulsion system.
  • Working on research and development hardware alongside engineering to produce industry-leading space technology.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, supporting all shifts/OT, as necessary, to support business needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in aerospace maintenance, manufacturing, and fabrication.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency with technical manuals and work instructions.
  • Comfortable in a research and development environment.
  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment and aerospace fittings/seals.
  • Skilled in using tools, precision measuring instruments, and attention to detail.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with hydrostatic, hydraulic, and pneumatic testing.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible work schedule to support hardware and testing needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to foster a culture of inclusion and trust.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in propulsion or structural integration and testing or similar.
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in a technical field.
  • Experience with spacecraft, payload, or launch vehicles.
  • Experience with hypergolic fluids.
  • Familiarity with composites manufacturing and fabrication.
  • A&P license or aerospace technology certification.
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts on or around flight hardware.
  • Experience with 3D measurement tools, such as Faro Arms/Trackers and Verisurf software.
  • Knowledge in the use of 3D CAD tools (CREO is preferred), and ability to read and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $29.04-$40.65
