Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all employees.
  • Supervise a team of electro-mechanical and mechanical technicians.
  • Establish and maintain a flexible, cross-trained workforce to support operational timely completion requirements.
  • Coordinate with upstream functions to ensure a sufficient backlog of jobs to maintain cell efficiency.
  • Provide feedback to leadership and engineering teams for process improvements.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to ensure optimal staffing levels and address workforce gaps.
  • Supervise technician workmanship certifications and schedule vital training with internal and external trainers.
  • Advise Human Resources and Production Manager on corrective actions, conduct employee counseling sessions for non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure on-the-job training for direct employees and contract workers.
  • Monitor tool calibration and collaborate with the quality team to ensure schedules meet build needs.
  • Participate in daily IPT meetings and Gemba walks.
  • Apply the IFS ERP system to access production-related data, such as the Shop Floor Workbench, Shop Order, Inventory Part/Part in Stock, and Doc Revision.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead all aspects of accurate storage and handling of materials and finished goods.
  • Perform other crucial duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, business, or a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of validated expertise in a supervisory role within a high mix, low volume manufacturing environment.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning software.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Compensation Range for:

CO applicants is $42.55-$59.57
