Job Details

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is responsible for managing the financial planning process through Cencora's financial management system as well as financial planning related initiatives. Provides guidance and expertise to the Community Retail & Long Term Care Pharmacy (CRLTC) business segment relative to financial forecasting and budgetary matters.

Responsibilities

  • Plays a key role in the fiscal year planning process utilizing the company's financial planning system and processes; manages the work plan and annual schedule in preparation for Board approval.

  • Maintains, loads, calculates, validates and redevelops planning model for new functionality as required.

  • Creates roll up reporting for review by senior management in order to facilitate the decision making process for the new fiscal plan year.

  • Responds to inquiries regarding plan data by cost centers and assists department heads with variances to plan.

  • Makes recommendations for system enhancements in order to maintain a user friendly financial planning tool for management; ensures reporting functionality is operating properly.

  • Assists with the monthly Estimate process and provides additional schedules and/or analysis as needed by senior Finance management; provides additional ad hoc reports to senior management and solicits feedback regularly in order to improve Estimate Reporting.

  • Prepares the quarterly competitor analysis and distributes to senior management; requests feedback as it relates to areas for improvement and/or expansion.

  • Generates ad hoc management reports utilizing Essbase to pull financial information; resourceful in preparing other management reports as required.

  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Expereince

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education; Degree in Accounting, Information Technology and/or Finance; CPA preferred. Normally requires a minimum of six (6) years progressively responsible related experience.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of various financial management principles, financial statement analysis, business law, plan development, productivity and profitability analysis

  • Ability to implement and support an enterprise-wide financial planning tool

  • Knowledge of PRISM and/or other financial planning application

  • Excellent knowledge of Essbase required

  • Excellent knowledge of Hyperion planning preferred

  • Demonstrates initiative and has a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines

  • Strong spreadsheet and general ledger skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills and sound judgment

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
