PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Leave Administrator is responsible for responsible for administering all aspects of employee leave requests and accommodations, including those under the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Paid Family Leave, state and local leave laws, Military Leave, short-term and long-term disability plans, and Worker's Comp. This role involves coordinating with employees, managers, and external vendors to administer leaves, ensure compliance with federal, state, and company policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage all aspects of employee leave requests, workers' compensation, ADA, short-term and long-term disability, and/or other similar leave of absence.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations, including FMLA, ADA, Workers Comp and state-specific leave laws.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper management of all administrative aspects of leave claims to include tracking hours used/taken; return to work data; case reviews and working closely with the Managers, HR, Benefits, and Payroll to ensure key dates, details, and status for employees is accurate and correct.
  • Coordinates the return-to-work process.
  • Oversee processing of short-term and long-term disability claims and workers' compensation.
  • Act as primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave, ADA, and workers' compensation policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with managers, employees, and the Safety Team to ensure workplace injuries are properly documented.
  • Ensure that all required OSHA recordkeeping, postings, and reporting activities are completed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of leave policies and procedures.
  • Provides general knowledge and training for employees and management regarding, FMLA, PFL, ADA, WC, STD, and LTD
  • Serves as a back-up to other Benefit team members on an as needed basis for daily inquiries and tasks.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Prior experience working in a Government Contracting environment helpful.
  • Advanced computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs. Working knowledge of advanced software applications is preferred.
  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
  • Ability to respond effectively and timely to sensitive information.
  • Ability to work in a team environment contributing to a positive workplace culture.
  • Must be trustworthy - will handle confidential information routinely.
  • Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, collaborative and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in leave management. Experience with laws such as FMLA, ADA, and other federal/state leave regulations and workers compensation.
  • Knowledge of all pertinent Federal and State regulations.
  • Must be self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must conduct self with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
