SUMMARY: Works under limited supervision and assists in administering the bank's payroll and benefit plans for both active employees and retired employees. Includes maintenance of HRIS database and the preparation and payment of company medical and worker's compensation billing. Assists with the preparation of bi-weekly, quarterly and annual payroll responsibilities at the corporate level. This is an entry level position. Works in a highly confidential manner. Maintains a current knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements impacting the Human Resource Department. Laws include ADA, COBRA, Equal Pay Act, ERISA, Fair Labor Standards Act, IRS Tax Code, OSHA, Unemployment Codes, Worker's Compensation, etc. Assists with day-to-day administration of employee and retiree benefit plans including data entry and employee inquiries. May include payroll deduction inquiries, data entry for enrollment and life event changes, and employee requests for general plan information. Assists with day-to-day administration of the company payroll, including data entry and general employee inquiries regarding payroll information. Also includes payroll deduction inquiries and entry, data entry for manual pay corrections and payment. Assists Payroll Specialist and Payroll Manager in communication with employees and managers regarding issues, changes and or corrections regarding employee payroll. Assists Benefit's Specialist in communication with insurance carriers in processing claims and enrollment issues. Reviews payroll deductions for accuracy, identifies any errors, and adjusts for monetary reimbursements. Assists with processing bi-weekly payroll, quarter end reporting, year-end reporting and billing associated with the bank's payroll provider. Assists with processing weekly and monthly medical and worker's compensation billing. May assist with administration of companywide transportation program, as it relates to payroll deductions. Prepares employee ID badges across the corporation. Assists employees with direct deposit, name and tax changes. Assists employee with enrollment, changes in enrollment, and insurance claims submitted for payment. Assists with annual benefit open enrollment process. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Banking is a highly regulated industry, and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing.
