Job Posting: Asset Management Specialist
Location: Omaha or Lincoln, NE
Salary: $50,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategically minded Asset Management Specialist to join our team. The role will focus on assisting with asset management for state and local government entities, with an emphasis on municipal and utility clients.

As an Asset Management Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support, including data gathering, data management and analyses, reporting, and documentation preparation. An Asset Management Specialist will serve as an interface with the client by carrying out tasks including planning and participation in, as well as facilitation and documentation of client stakeholder collaboration meetings, formal and informal. You will play a key role in providing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) support, database management, and infrastructure management consultation for clients, while also assisting with the implementation and support of asset management software packages.

Responsibilities:



  • Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and client stakeholders to assess and document their asset management status, needs, risks, goals, and progress.
  • Asset Management Planning: Support asset management strategies and risk analyses for municipal and utility clients.
  • Data & Report Management: Provide data gathering, management, and analysis to ensure assets are properly tracked and reported.
  • Geospatial Data & Asset Inventory Management: Utilize GIS and other geospatial tools for asset inventory management and planning.

Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, Geospatial Analytics, or a related business/data analytics field.
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including responsiveness and the ability to consistently collaborate within a team and identify opportunities
    • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple assigned tasks efficiently
    • Working knowledge of GIS and asset management software.
    • Ability to adapt and implement unique solutions to EA clients' constantly evolving challenges and needs
    • Desire to support the broad range of environmental services provided by EA.
  • Experience:

    • 0-3 years of relevant experience in a professional setting
    • Experience in municipal government or utility operations is desired but not required. Previous exposure to asset management and/or software implementations is a plus.
