Job Description: Responsible for the development and sustainability of proactive systems that ensure the reliability of operating equipment in the factory.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development, implementation, repair, and maintenance of the factory wide instrumentation, control and electrical systems.
  • Program Allen Bradley PLC driven equipment and modify to meet needs of production.
  • Performs system start-ups and operational checkouts on systems including configuration, wiring, calibration, grounding and power testing.
  • Utilizes technical materials such as equipment manuals, MSDS, safety materials, system drawings, Process and Instrument Diagrams (PID's), schematics and blue prints to troubleshoot and maintain controls systems.
  • Utilizes a wide range of test equipment including but not limited to recorders, computers, PC based software analyzer programs, data analyzers, analog and digital multi-meters while performing tests to identify problems and to maintain equipment to performance standards.
  • Maintains plant documentation in accordance with management of change procedures.
  • Connects, disconnects, and tags out equipment and circuits for test or repair and safety of personnel or equipment.
  • Performs installations in compliance with the national electric code.
  • Maintains and repairs network communication systems.
  • Provides hardware and software application support to engineers and operations.

Education & Relevant Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to utilize different software and computer systems to complete detailed data analysis.
  • Must be able to use required electrical test equipment and hand tools.
  • Must understand the basic and advanced operation of electrical equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of basic and advanced computer programming, including PLC's and HMIs.
  • Must understand AC, DC and VFD motor control systems.
  • Must have and be able to demonstrate exceptional organizational skills.
  • Must be able to accommodate flexible work schedules to properly support the department and operations.
  • Must be able to work in man lifts and outdoors.
