Position Description

As the Principal Electrical Engineer you will lead and be responsible for the electrical design engineering work supporting the controls team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project management/ownership of electrical design engineering and technical support work for the controls team
  • SAP Production order & material processing
  • New part number creation and project-based part cost negotiation
  • Liaison with suppliers
  • Generating drawings with our AutoCAD CAD package for controls upgrades
  • Drawing bespoke schematics for controls products which include but not limited to optimization packages, BMS monitoring/controls panels, and airwall control panels
  • Panel layout design
  • Creation of appendices and support documents to aid manufacture, installation, & maintenance
  • Technical support for the production team, site team installing and commissioning products, and customers once work is completed
  • Material management and warranty replacement
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field required.
  • Master's degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • 8+ year of experience in an electrical design engineering is required.
  • Ability to work proactively, use own initiative
  • UL508a panel design
  • Knowledge of UL 1995 and UL60335-1
  • Strong team working skills
  • Strong critical thinking ability
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Positive attitude towards change and learning new skills
  • Appreciation and willingness to work to tight deadlines
