Description

TRISTAR is seeking a Sr. HR Specialist (WFD) for our government customer in Crane, IN (Crane 3 days a week and Telework 2 days per week)

  • Independently support the Crane Division University (CDU) Training Program through administrative coordination of all CDU training courses
  • Successful candidate will be expected to attend majority of the CDU courses at least one time to gain full awareness/understanding of what is required for course support
  • Attendance at courses that are more lecture-style (as identified by the CDU Program Lead or Branch Manager) will not be required
  • May be required to support non-CDU training courses and/or Career Services Center offerings in the absence of other team members

Position Responsibilities

  • Supporting the developing of the annual CDU Training plan based on the Training Needs Assessment conducted by the government
  • Identifying facilitators for each course scheduled and sending calendar invites for all stakeholders (students, facilitators, etc) using MS Outlook
  • Coordinating Executive Leadership Team (ELT) support of CDU courses, as required (i.e. CO brief at Leading from Within, ELT attendance at graduation ceremonies, etc) via MS Outlook
  • Reserving appropriate WestGate Academy classrooms conducive to the learning objectives of the course (i.e. does the course require extra space for group work, etc)
  • Maintaining inventory of all CDU course supplies and ensuring all classrooms have the necessary materials to conduct upcoming classes by preparing each classroom in advance of the course start date
  • Ordering course materials via the Corporate Ops AQM for all CDU Training courses
  • Announcing the training course opportunities using our learning management system (Waypoints) and sending calendar invitations to students as they register
  • Printing rosters of enrolled students from Waypoints, ensuring the roster is in the classroom prior to the course start, then crediting students for completion upon course end
  • Releasing the course evaluation survey to all students upon completion of each course and conducting review/analysis of the feedback received to identify any opportunities for course/program improvement
  • Any identified issues/concerns/opportunities for course improvement should be relayed to the CDU Program Lead (Government)
Requirements
  • 7 years related training development experience
  • Needs to be high caliber with superior organization skills, ability to multi-task, possess computer savvy (Excel is IMPERATIVE and we will have to teach them the Waypoints system), positive attitude, ability to work independently, and dependable
  • Although telework up to 2 days per week is the norm, the incumbent of this position must be flexible to perform on-site work up to 5 days per week, depending on the training schedule
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel (advanced skill level) Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new IT systems efficiently and adapt to upgrades as they occur
  • Individual must have professional, positive attitude with the ability to work independently and have dependable work ethics
  • MUST be a US Citizen
  • An active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelors preferred
  • Must be able to successfully pass a T3 background investigation
