Sr Content Maker, Visual

Ogilvy is looking for a Content Maker (Visual) with an exceptional background in social media creative to join our award-winning team. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a group passionate about social-first design, telling compelling stories, and creating extraordinary experiences. You have a refined eye, are conceptual, know how to tastefully use typography, and always strive towards excellence in your craft. You can concept, design and animate. You can demonstrate your passion to solve complex communication challenges in a fast-paced environment through strategy, concept and a deep understanding of how to exceed audiences' expectations and engage them on behalf of our clients.   • Ability to get super specific on what / why / how things can come to life and make sense platform-to-platform.
  • Clearly understands the role the brand plays in social and the ability to adapt based on charter work and community-led feedback (finding that bridge)
  • Ability to quickly adapt / maker mentality.
  • A team player.


Responsibilities

A content maker is an architect of social media experiences, working with other copy, animation and creators capable of concepting, shooting, and producing social experiences. You should be skilled at developing a variety of concepts and brand-appropriate visual styles, combining art direction with video editing capabilities. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent taste and experience in art direction, graphic design, video editing and typography. Essential to this role is staying current with category trends, social, cultural, and media trends and experiences, and being a passionate advocate for great design. We are looking for someone that can create visually stunning work that's memorable, engaging and fresh.



  • Execute best-in-class social content by applying never-seen-before treatments and concepts to dynamic assets
  • Design and animate images, illustrations, text and graphic overlays
  • Video editing using mixed media for content across various formats and channels
  • Develop original illustrations; from simple iconography to complex environments and infographics
  • Deliver a high volume of content under tight timelines
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other creatives, strategists and project teams
  • Stays abreast of industry/advertising trends and applies them strategically.
  • Participates in brainstorms as required.
  • Take ownership of the work and ensure the finished product is polished
  • Combine humor and culture into asset creation ranging from simple GIFs to short form video
  • Generate unique design and promotional concepts that promote each clients brand position and identity, while enhancing the experience for the consumer
  • Actively push new ideas, tech and tactics in the social media arena
  • Professional poise while partnering with clients



QUALIFICATIONS



  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially After Effects)
  • Demonstration of outstanding video-editing pacing and design taste
  • Strong background in illustration and color correction
  • Expertise in graphic design, kinetic typography & mixed media compositing
  • Demonstration of content creation for social media
  • An extensive portfolio that demonstrates the above skills
  • 3D modelling and sound design experience is a bonus
  • Passion for learning and self-improvement
  • Proactive and a self-starter
  • Positive attitude


The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$60,000 $140,000 USD
