DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will provide clerical support for the Commercial Vehicle Safety Division (CVSD), Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP). As the receptionist for CVSD, you will answer telephones and assist in responding to inquiries; opens and distributes mail; prepare incoming mailed inspection reports for scanning or entering certifications into the SafetyNet data base. You will process faxed inspection reports received through the Commercial Vehicle Safety Division (CVSD) resource account to be scanned for certification.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is not eligible for telework.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
