Description

Directs a high school student services program, including academic, college/career, and personal/social, counseling, career education, assessment and testing, social and academic adjustment, public relations activities, and students' records maintenance.

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree.
• Four (4) years of experience in counseling or teaching.
  • Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
• Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) in school counseling or in administration and supervision PreK-12.
• Knowledge of school counseling techniques, programs, and practices.
• Knowledge of adolescent psychology, growth, and development.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of the high school philosophy and current curriculum and instructional trends.
• Knowledge of master schedule development.
• Ability to assign, supervise, oversee, and evaluate a staff of school counselors and support personnel.
• Ability to gain the confidence of students, families, and professional staff and foster cooperation.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Salary Range

$111,845 - $170,147
