ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

As our Reporting & Data Manager, you will be the strategic lead for shaping and managing our Sales Operations Power BI reporting ecosystem and overall reporting workflow within the Sales Operations "spoke". In this role, you'll partner with our centralized Data & Analytics "hub" to establish standards and best practices for report development, data modeling, and analytics delivery. You'll own and refine the end-to-end process of how reporting requests are captured, prioritized, and executed-ensuring consistent, high-quality, and actionable insights. Additionally, you will be responsible for defining and implementing requirement templates, intake processes, and documentation standards that improve clarity and efficiency across the organization. Over time, you will identify and hire a dedicated Business Analyst to strengthen requirements gathering and accelerate our reporting initiatives.

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE

  1. Power BI Reporting Standards & Governance:
    • Define and enforce best practices, including data visualization guidelines, naming conventions, and security protocols within our Power BI environment.
    • Ensure consistency, scalability, and performance in dashboards, reports, and data models.
  2. Conceptual Data Modeling & Architecture:
    • Collaborate with our IT Data & Analytics team to shape conceptual and logical data models that support business needs.
    • Translate business concepts into well-structured data models that improve clarity, performance, and maintainability of reports and analytical solutions.
  3. Reporting Backlog & Project Management:
    • Own the reporting backlog, prioritizing requests in alignment with strategic objectives.
    • Oversee the intake process to ensure stakeholders provide clear, actionable requirements.
    • Lead and mentor the reporting team (including Power BI developers and analysts) on project execution, setting timelines, and managing deliverables.
    • Continuously refine processes to improve efficiency, transparency, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  4. Requirements Templates & Documentation Standards:
    • Develop standardized requirement-gathering templates and intake forms to capture essential business and technical needs.
    • Establish documentation standards that promote consistent, detailed specifications and deliverables.
    • Train existing team members on following these frameworks to improve the quality and accuracy of reporting outputs.
  5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with Sales, Patient Outcomes, Market Access, Marketing, and other functions to understand their data needs and translate them into structured reporting solutions.
    • Collaborate closely with the central Data & Analytics team to align on enterprise data models, governance policies, and data platform strategies.
  6. Team Building & Hiring:
    • Assess ongoing gaps in requirements gathering and stakeholder communication.
    • Over time, lead the hiring process for a dedicated Business Analyst or similar role to strengthen requirement intake, reduce revision cycles, and enhance project execution.

WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics roles, with hands-on experience in Power BI.
  • Strong background in conceptual data modeling, data management principles, and enterprise BI best practices.
  • Proven track record of establishing reporting standards, templates, and intake processes that improve efficiency and outcome quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate business goals into technical requirements and guide teams toward successful delivery.
  • Experience managing reporting backlogs, prioritizing projects, and navigating conflicting demands in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Prior leadership or team management experience, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Familiarity with project management and Agile methodologies is preferred.

SALARY

The salary for this position is expected to be between ($112,900 - $152,700) and will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
