Performs assigned duties under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. Demonstrates positive behavior and the ability to implement a plan of care. This position requires a multi skilled worker who will perform a variety of tasks related to the direct and indirect care of the antepartum and postpartum patient and in the maintenance of a clean and organized environment. The OB Technician is certified or grandfathered to work in the Surgical Suite. Responsibilities A day in the life of an OB Technician at Hackensack Meridian includes: 1. Assists and supports nursing staff with provision of direct and indirect care to the patient. Follows the plan of care as directed by the RN Qualifications Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: 1. High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. 1. One year of hospital PCT experience Licenses and Certifications Required: 1.
