Description Working closely with the Health Center Assistant Manager (HCAM), the HCS ensures that all PPFA clinical protocols and all PPMW policies and procedures are followed accordingly throughout the mobile unit. The HCS is responsible for the overall management of day-to-day clinic operations, including scheduling, staffing, inventory, adherence to customer service standards and accomplishment of productivity and revenue goals. The HCS must provide leadership and assistance in client services and participate as an active, integral member of the service delivery team this includes providing medical support to clinicians and physicians and working as office support to the operations as needed. The Health Center Supervisor is also qualified to assist in the training of other clinical staff in all areas of clinical operations. Requirements
- Act as point person for Center issues requiring immediate resolution.
- Ensure that PPMW protocols, policies and procedures are followed and implemented.
- Ensure that federal, state and local regulations are followed and implemented.
- Serve as a champion for affiliate wide initiatives.
- Ensure maintenance of a clean, neat, secure and fully functional facility, including regular maintenance of medical equipment.
- Ensure adequate stocking and dispensing of medications and clinic supplies.
- Prepare, monitor and adjust patient and staff schedules according to changing needs of the mobile unit.
- Demonstrate anticipation of provider needs and use appropriate judgement on when to seek clinical guidance.
- In collaboration with the HCAM the HCS is responsible for interviewing, hiring & training new staff as needed.
- Supervise staff and volunteers in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the PPMW Employee Handbook policies and procedures.
- In concert with the HCAM, monitor, evaluate, and document staff performance including providing regular feedback.
- In concert with area leadership, authorize work hours, leave requests, and expense reports.
- Assist in development and implementation staff training and development plans for individual staff members and for larger group.
- Help facilitate regular staff meetings and regular two-way communication with staff regarding organizational directives, protocol changes, etc.
- Monitor accuracy and completeness of medical records documentation and related data collection.
- In collaboration with area leadership, create and monitor mobile unit budget and ensure accuracy and completeness of all related financial transactions and documentation.
- Ensure efficiency of operations through regular monitoring of patient and staff flow throughout the mobile unit, adjusting as necessary.
- Maintain proficiency in HCA duties sufficient to provide direct patient care as scheduled/needed.
- Must be able to jump in during staffing shortages and as needed to provide patient care to include drawing blood, patient check in and workup, and other duties consistent with medical assistant proficiency.
- Monitor and communicate with staff regarding productivity and revenue goals.
- Support center's Quality Assurance program, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all necessary functions and documentation.
- Participate as active member of PPMW Medical Management Team (MMT).
- Act as resource for other PPMW departments and inform senior management of issues and trends at the health center level.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, healthcare, or related field preferred.
- Possess at least three years of related experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a cost-effective, efficient, flexible and customer service-oriented manner.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
