Sgsco is looking for a highly-organized project manager to ensure a positive sgsco client experience in the execution of production art and prepress. The Challenge

As the Project Manager, you are our client's primary contact, responsible for managing and meeting client expectations in the high volume of projects for our clients' brands. From kickoff to quality output, with proactive communication, you will ensure projects flow through the sgsco production network seamlessly. In this role, tenacity in problem-solving and a strong sense of urgency will enable exceptional service and build strong relationships with internal and external cross-functional partners.

What You'll Do

Manage Projects



  • Lead the day-to-day client engagement to ensure a positive sgsco experience
  • Identify and define new projects, managing them from concept through file ship
  • Manage the project scope, creative execution, routing, and reconciling steps for the next stage gate in the process all the way through file ship
  • Manage client expectations and troubleshoot as situations arise
  • Manage the workflow between multiple teams in the sgsco production network
  • Manage project timelines ensuring on-time delivery
  • Use set pricing matrices to create estimates for internal use as well as for the client
  • Ensure a swift project-close managing the billing and invoicing process



Ensure Quality



  • Know your client, their process (deliverables, rework) and preferences to operate as the client's brand guardian to ensure global consistency and continuity
  • Capture and manage a repository of client nuances including templated standard communications (specific to the client), brand assets, etc.
  • Oversee accuracy of creative handoffs and executed files for routing
  • Document all critical and pertinent information that may impact quality
  • Ensure all project creative communication is concise when delivered to production and client
  • Verify technical supplied data is correct to supplied art



Lead Teamwork



  • Communicate client preferences to create consistency across the sgsco production network
  • Communicate all areas requiring key decisions and at-risk initiatives related to customer expectations
  • Lead the client Pre-Pro Meetings for low complexity projects

    • Understands the client, brands, internal processes, etc. and share knowledge with internal teams
    • Demonstrate an appetite to learn and develop, exhibiting an innate curiosity that influences others





Drive Results



  • Manage reporting and tracking for projects both internally and externally, such as:

    • Project Tracking in SmartSheet and/or Excel
    • Client weekly status reports
    • Distribution support, audits and follow-up
    • Keeping updated with any price matrices changes and process workflows with the client's software and sgsco
    • Participate in process improvement efforts and various production meetings to foster a positive creative impact on the business.





Need to Haves



  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Some college/Associate's Degree preferred
  • The equivalent of 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or project management
  • Experience in the design, print or production art industry preferred
  • Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos
  • Proofreading skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners internally and externally
  • General skills in Illustrator, Photoshop and the Adobe Creative Suite

This is a remote position in the US. We are open to candidates in various states, with the exception of those residing in the following: AK, DC, DE, ME, NH, NM, OK, HI, MS, MT, NV, NE, ND, SD, VT, WY, WV.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $47,557 - $59,446 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
