Job Summary

Location: Houston, TX

This individual will be responsible for providing analytical and data management support. Work is mainly self-directed under general supervision, with work results reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities
  • Developing complex supply and demand regional balances to enhance opportunity identification across physical and financial markets, to identify trading opportunities.
  • Create dynamic reports and analytical tools to help traders.
  • Track all news and events that could affect natural gas markets.
  • Assist in modeling and the valuation of structured transactions.
  • Assist in the development of regional basis models within the Gulf/Southeast. This should include daily automation and scenario distributions.
  • Take charge of End of Day P&L process, create accurate P&L estimates, and track daily P&L. Research and explain any discrepancies.
  • Perform all ad hoc analysis, tasks, and requests by traders and management.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, finance, or a related field with at least six months of professional work experience.
Other Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Experience in energy commodities trading
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (must be highly skilled at Excel)
  • Basic programming skills (Excel VBA, SQL, Python)
  • Familiarity with Endur ETRM (or other ETRM platforms)
  • Strong Analytical skills

  • Ability to function on a high level in a hybrid environment and be accountable

  • Vision requirements for this position include close vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

The employee performs job duties primarily in a work from home capacity and periodically from a climate-controlled office environment, with a moderate noise level.
