Nurse Practitioner Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider - Cardiology Full Time 83543BR Job Summary The Inpatient Acute Care Cardiology NP has clinical, procedural, administrative, and educational responsibilities in the care of patients requiring cardiac care. Under the supervision of the Chief of Cardiology and the Heart & Vascular Manager for Inpatient Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers and the Director of Advanced Practice Nursing, the Cardiology NP will have a critical role in the inpatient setting, with both team member and individual duties. These responsibilities will include acute care management, provision of cardiology consult on the acute care level patient as requested, as well as pre and post procedural patient examination and assessment, diagnosis, and management of care including but not limited to planning; treatment implementation, coordination and continuity; performance of specific procedures; development of practice protocols and evaluation of quality of care; education of patients, families and other health care practitioners. The NP will manage patients cooperatively with interns, residents, fellow and faculty to provide consultative care, promote patient access, continuity of care, facilitate diagnostic testing and intervention, and coordinate a comprehensive discharge. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $95.73 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate).
