Position Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate - Industrial Engineering & Cancer Research

Location: USC Norris Cancer Center, University of Southern California

Position Type: Full-time, Entry-Level

The USC Norris Cancer Center invites applications for a first-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow with a strong background in Industrial Engineering and experience in animal-based cancer research. This unique position bridges clinical insight with engineering and biological research, focusing on big data analyses of patient-based medical records complemented by experimental validation in animal disease models.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including clinicians, engineers, and basic biologists.
• Conduct comprehensive big data analysis related to cancer research.
• Validate analytical findings through well-designed experiments using animal models.
• Contribute to writing grants, research papers, and presentations at scientific conferences.

Qualifications:

• PhD in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in animal-based research.
• Proven track record of high-quality publications during graduate studies.
• Ability to handle complex datasets and perform statistical analysis.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Compensation: The stipend for this position will align with the guidelines provided by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The annual base salary range for this position is $62,400-$68,640.
