Job Summary

The Senior Director of Vendor Management owns and oversees vendor relationships and compliance within a designated region, ensuring alignment with company policies and operational objectives. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day field activities involving contractors and employees to enhance network performance and operational efficiency. The Senior Director executes a comprehensive vendor management strategy to optimize customer experiences comparable to those delivered by in-house technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement vendor compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and select vendors based on performance metrics, quality of service, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor vendor performance regularly and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain compliance and service quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce vendor contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead audits and assessments of vendor operations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key vendor partners to foster collaboration and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and support to field operations teams on vendor management best practices and compliance requirements, including managing training initiatives for contractors and employees.
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets related to vendor management activities.
  • Ensure effective onboarding, offboarding, and credentialing processes for vendors and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with legal and regulatory teams to ensure vendor agreements comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices related to vendor management and compliance, recommending, and implementing process improvements as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Management, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Minimum 15 years of business management experience, with increasing levels of responsibility in vendor management or related fields within the cable or telecommunications industry.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing vendor compliance programs.
  • Strong understanding of vendor selection, performance management, and contract negotiation.
  • Experience in conducting audits and assessments of vendor operations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with external partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities in a complex operational environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Experience managing successful teams for a minimum of 10 years.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to vendor management.
  • Valid driver's license in compliance with state law.

Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is$161,186.00-$230,265.00/ year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
