  • Knowledge of Installed Base equipment used in the field

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Inventory Control Specialist in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the IBT Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:



  • Reviews the operating levels and reorder points for inventory items and determines if sufficient to meet customer demands
  • Conduct or assist inventory cycle counts
  • Assist with the resolution of issues related to physical inventory
  • Review present inventory items to recommend scrappage due to obsolescence, expired shelf life, etc.
  • Review, prepare and process a variety of reports, forms, and data packages for maintaining inventory control
  • Perform FME inspections, as requested
  • Take ownership of required equipment list completion to meet due dates, initiate required equipment lists that support assigned outage projects, perform equipment pulling and packing per required equipment list requirements (Installed Base only)
  • Work with technical support to acquire appropriate documentation required for inventory material procurement
  • Review and interpret automated control reports, correct errors, determine required dates for purchase and identify items that should be replenished
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders or work orders, manufacturing purchase orders, and request for shipment forms
  • May prepare purchase material orders, shop orders and make decisions regarding where an item will be fabricated
  • May determine if materials should be taken from stock, purchased for contract, or if other substitutions should be made
  • May be required to safely utilize a fork lift truck, hand truck, and overhead crane in the performance of daily duties
  • May conduct or assist with field inquiries from customers
  • Play an active role in creating a safe and healthy workplace and comply with all applicable safety and health rules

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $24.10- $31.50 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
