Position Description

The Human Resources team is seeking a Human Resources Specialist - Training Coordinator who has experience using Workday Learning or a Learning Management System (LMS). This position will coordinate training sessions to include managing training calendars, reserve training rooms, and obtain equipment for training sessions; mark attendance for live training sessions; generate training reports to ensure compliance with mandatory training completion; and update training materials. This position is responsible for ensuring in-person and virtual trainings are setup accurately; welcome attendees to training sessions as needed; mark attendance accurately; communicate with training instructors; and generate reports. The role will also ensure training data is accurate, and data integrity is preserved.

This position will be on a rotation for front desk coverage, approximately 30% of the work week. While at the Human Resources front desk, the Training Coordinator will provide excellent customer service to those who visit the Human Resources Suite. Duties include answering questions and directing visitors.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, hybrid position. Interviews will take place the week of February 10, 2025 for those selected to move forward in the hiring process.

Pay & Benefits

  • Salary: $48,006.40 to $56,409.60 ($23.08 - $27.12 per hour).
  • 2024 Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 28. $48,006.40 to $64,812.80 ($23.08 to $31.16 per hour).

Work Location

  • This position will work at Anoka County Government Center, located at 2100 3rd Ave, Anoka, MN 55303.
  • Expected work hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka County Human Resources Specialist - Training Coordinator:

  • Manage training calendars in Workday Learning.
  • Reserve training rooms and virtual rooms; ensure the rooms and equipment are ready on training day.
  • Coordinate internal training registrations, provide attendance to instructors, and mark attendance using Workday Learning.
  • Generate training reports monthly, annually, and as needed.
  • Maintain training records for Anoka County employees.
  • Coordinate and plan staff trainings.
  • Perform front desk reception tasks for the Human Resources Department.
  • Provide excellent customer service to those who visit Human Resources.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed

  • Requires a high school diploma and at least 2 years of job-related experience
  • In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed

  • Experience in Workday Learning or a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Problem solving skills with ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently

Physical Demands and Work Conditions

  • Standard office environment
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness
  • Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds
  • Assignments are sedentary, occasionally alternating between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work
  • Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs.
  • Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment
  • Occasional travel to other county work sites as needed. Travel between work sites may require driving a county vehicle and/or a personal vehicle
