Supervisor: Construction Manager

Job Description: provide administrative organization, logistic and general support to a Construction Segment. Responsibilities may include any task related to control of the reception of material at the site as well as the control of entry and exit of material in the warehouse, ticket collection, invoice reconciliation, data entry, or other administrative duties.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Manage the reception of material for the coordination of unloading and storage.
  • Maintain control of input and output of material through an inventory.
  • Organize various files, folders, and other information both physically and electronically.
  • Collect/receive invoices, tickets, receipts, and other documentation.
  • Prepare reports at various intervals and frequencies showing departmental or project accounting metrics.
  • Communicate with vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and other entities to provide information and answer questions related to segment activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in similar administrative positions.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
  • Effective organization and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Safety Policies and Practices: The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the company's safety policies and procedures as described in the company's safety manual.

Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
