We are actively looking for the President & Chief Commercial Officer - NextPort to join our corporate leadership.

As President & Chief Commercial Officer for NextPort, working with the founding team, this role will drive NextPort's next phase of growth by defining product-market fit, building business momentum, and scaling its digital twin, communication, and dashboard solutions for marine terminals and port complexes. This role will focus on commercialization, including complementing the technical leadership expertise of the existing team, while addressing the diverse needs of, and communication with, the various stakeholders within ports and terminals.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy focused on customer value
  • Define and optimize market-platform fit to maximize customer value and business impact
  • Build and sustain business momentum through effective pipeline strategies, sales enablement, and customer engagement
  • Collaborate with co-founder on delivery of product innovation and adoption of mission-critical software for global logistics
  • Develop solutions that address the varied and complex needs of stakeholders across ports and terminals, including operators, regulators, customers, and technology partners
  • Collaborate with the board and leadership to align strategy, secure funding, and support long-term growth investments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field; required
  • MBA or Executive Level Program for Business or Marketing; preferred
  • 20+ years of experience in product marketing strategy; required
  • Experience with Port/Maritime software development and marketing; required
  • Proven record of success in bringing business software to major logistics facilities in global shipping; required
  • Deep expertise in GTM strategies, product launches, marketing, and sales enablement for mission-critical software; required
  • Experience leading software businesses in asset-heavy industries with complex operations and multi-party integrations; required
  • 10+ years of experience launching innovation groups, managing transitions, and driving adoption of new technologies; required
  • Proven ability to serve the diverse interests of multiple stakeholders in challenging, high-stakes environments
  • Familiarity with operating within a software division of a non-software parent company and securing board-level strategy approvals
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Base salary range:

$260,000 to $315,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.

Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California market.

Physical requirements:

Sedentary for prolonged period of time, work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel will be required.
