The Director of Product Management will define and guide a product strategy discipline with the product development team. The Director will be a representative on the payments leadership team and will lead a team of product specialists to ensure a well-organized and high functioning product team. This individual will be responsible for defining an overall product strategy discipline that guides our path on how we approach product development and is the owner of the roadmaps for all payment product solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Director of Product Management will oversee the following initiatives:
  • Work with Payments leadership to define overall strategy across products
  • Articulate and evangelize Product strategy across Tyler
  • Lead the Product team to make sure we are maintaining a well thought-out and executable roadmap with an actionable backlog for developers.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams across Tyler to develop a compelling market story for our solutions and enable our client-facing teams to deliver that story credibly.
  • Be a champion for agile product development and the continuous improvement of the product development process.
  • Oversee the product team working on development projects - from ideation to decomposition and estimation - to set engineers up to ship value on schedule.
  • Ensure project flow by driving research and analysis needed to identify and manage risks and challenges related to client adoption, user experience, and technical development.
  • Track and continuously analyze sales data and product instrumentation data in order to improve our win rates, as well as user adoption.
  • Attend conferences, participate in speaking events, etc., to be considered across industry as a Market expert
  • Partner with sales organization for positioning of all Tyler Payment products including setting/adjusting pricing, marketing strategies
  • Maintain pulse on product market and competition to ensure products remain competitive
  • Work with business and sales leadership across Tyler to establish go to market timelines for new products/features/integrations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or advance degree required
  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to establish a shared vision and get people on board to follow
  • Experience influencing the development of innovative citizen-centric payment services and applications
  • Must demonstrate superior presentation and communication skills and the ability to influence industry leaders
  • Manage communications around feedback, enhancements, partner presentations, etc.
Additional Desired Knowledge / Experience:
  • Success in managing/building innovative, consumer-centric payment products/platforms
  • Demonstrate ability to align various teams into a single consolidated roadmap
  • Proven success in growing the consumer base and increasing adoption of services
  • Able to demonstrate past experience in managing large scale, cloud-based, products/platforms
  • Understanding of PCI compliance and other payment related security/compliance regulations and standard
