Job Duties: Providing complex structured, risk management hedging solutions for seamless trade opportunities afforded by market and internal data Executing transactions, using a mixture of methods and in a manner consistent with our best execution and risk management practices, as well as our policies and procedures Meticulously tracking and managing the P&L impacts of trade positions to maintain optimal levels of risk Developing and enhancing over time an in-depth understanding of the risk management associated with hedging a physical commodity position and the financial and accounting implications associated with the hedging process Gathering, analyzing, and disseminating curated market and sector information and ideas that lead to improvements in risk management processes Developing and maintaining expertise on market structure: liquidity landscape, electronic trading, industry and regulatory developments, and technology-based solutions Establishing deep relationships with trading counterparties, supply chain partners, and other stakeholders Periodic review and reporting of current book of business against the market dynamics to assess risk now and in future Continuous improvement of our processes: Identifying opportunities to increase efficiencies, optimize market access, and mitigate risk Organizing and analyzing large data sets to be used in management of physical commodity positions Ensure adherence to commodity commitment processes and systems to support specific product and commodity demand Qualifications: Seasoned veteran with 15+ years of experience in commodity supply chain and trading experience with emphasis in coffee or other soft commodities Strong understanding of technical and fundamental trading analysis, origin country economics, and macro and micro indicator metrics Highly proficient analytical skills, with an ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong data organization and analytics Experience hedging a commodity-based business or analyzing risk and volatility strategies around a long position Growth mindset, solid work ethic and organizational skills, demonstrated investment in personal development Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience working in a highly collaborative, team-based, and results-oriented environment Impeccable integrity and a commitment to a fiduciary responsibility Academic credentials: a bachelor's degree is required and additional business, financial, or technology degrees and skills (MBA, CFA, programming) would be highly additive Equal Opportunity Employer / Vets / Disabled
