Electronics Technician Trainee:

Job Summary:

Entry level position that trains and assists with primary operators with Electronics assembly, testing, and INS4 inspection. Focus is on learning and development under direct supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assembles and tests various electronic assemblies per drawings and or procedures.
• Assembles wire assemblies per drawings and or procedures.
• Trains and learns to complete inspection of all products routed through INS4.
• Assembles various back panels and enclosures per drawings and or procedures.
• Mounts back panels into console control panels after wiring and completes assembly per drawings and or procedures.
• Learns basics of troubleshooting material returns.
• Learn basic operation of Pick, Place and Solder Wave for Circuit Board Manufacturing.
• Maintains orientation to Fike International Business System and Salesforce.
• Prepares non-conformances as needed.
• Completes all work order reporting, transactions and documentation.
• Adheres to all safety practices and procedures.
• Follows procedures as defined by Fike policies, procedures and ISO9001 requirements.
• Maintains the confidentiality of all information processed.

Performs related duties as assigned. Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to electrical test fixtures, wire cutting and stripping machine and solder. The employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee must be able properly lift 50 lbs. and move up to 100 pounds or more using appropriate moving devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Qualifications:

REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and follow procedure instructions, work orders and drawings. Exposure to hand tools, test equipment and electrical measuring devices.

PREFERRED: Six plus months manufacturing or vocational school training.

The base rate for thispositionstarts at $18.00per hour and goes up depending on experience and qualifications.
