Job Description |
The Records and Registration Specialist provides customer service to students and administrative support to the office in database management, registration, enrollment verification, transcripts, and other related processes. Duties may vary according to the overall needs of the office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, responding to student needs and queries in person, via email, or over the phone, processing enrollment verifications and international letters, maintaining archived transcripts, and sorting and distributing mail; providing administrative support to the Registration and Records office; and performing other duties as assigned.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement. |
Required Education |
Associate degree |
Required Experience |
A minimum of three years of experience in higher education, K-12 education, or a related field, plus at least one year of front-line customer service experience. |
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
- Strong communication skills
- Experience working with a diverse student population
- Experience using a Student Information System
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a busy work environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

General Weekly Work Schedule |
Work schedule is up to 20 hours; flexibility is available, but hours will include M-F. Final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor. |
