Overview

The Sales Driver's main responsibilities include maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe environment on the shop floor and parking lot, maintaining shop tools in an accurate and organized manner, and ensuring company vehicles and tools are properly serviced. This role would also include helping technicians with repairs on active jobs in the service department.

Responsibilities

    Ensure parking lot and shop floor is free from hazards and debris. Strategically move equipment to ensure uninterrupted traffic flow in the parking lot. Drive forklift to move parts and other objects as needed.
  • Make sure all tools are in good working order, organized, and location documented. Check tools in and out of tool cage for technicians, ensuring all tools are accounted for and condition documented.
  • Check in all new parts; review estimates to make sure they are correctly applied to the correct job. Document all used parts that may be resold to lower priced repairs.
  • Know location of all consumables and make sure they are applied to the correct job.
  • Assist in pickup and delivery of parts and other customer equipment.
  • Keep track of maintenance schedules for company vehicles. Bring vehicles in for maintenance service as needed (Under Supervision).
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and aid technicians with repairs assigned by the Supervisor. Ask questions if needed.
  • Conduct all work with the highest priority on safety of self and others. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of company policies as well as government regulations regarding safe operation of vehicles. Report accidents and near-misses to management immediately.


Qualifications

  • Experience with similar role, preferably in automotive or trucking dealership.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to be dependable in attendance
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize both independently and collaboratively, and use sound judgment in a changing environment
  • Ability to safely and effectively use tools and equipment; ability to perform work with compliance to all company safety policies and procedures and with a consistent state of alertness
  • Valid driver's license


Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $19.42 to $24.28.
