Position Overview

Pantheon Data has a need for a Senior Marine Electronics Engineer to support a major surface acquisition program for the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). The selected candidate will work as part of a dynamic cross-functional team to support the design and development of Coast Guard ships and boats

Responsibilities



  • Conduct design of electric and electronic systems, study power generation and distribution, centralized machinery monitoring and control.
  • Applying knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques, to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports related to application of C5I systems onboard USCG ships.
  • Reviewing and evaluating the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance.
  • Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS's), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC's).
  • Knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.


Required Skills and Experience



  • Minimum of 5 years' of documented experience integrating C5I systems in one of the (three preferred) following categories:
    Cybersecurity
    Command and Control
    Navigation
    Networking
    Internal Communications
    External Communications
    Sensors
    Combat Systems
    Intelligence Systems
  • Meets Required DoD IAT Level II Baseline Certification Requirements.


Preferred Skills and Experience



  • Previous experience with shipboard and defense C5I systems preferred.


Education

BS or MS in a Technical, Engineering, or Marine field

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location

Hybrid - two (2) days a week at USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth's Campus in D.C.)

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
