ATS is actively hiring a Full Stack Software Developer w/ TS/SCI w/ Poly to join the Mission Technology and Solutions Business Unit. Position will be based in Chantilly, VA

This individual will work as part of a small team responsible for O & M of multiple mission critical VM-hosting environments across multiple data centers. Candidate should have the ability to manage full control of the application from initial development to final deployment. Will develop and enhance an application using Python in a Linux environment and analyze performance and end-to-end testing. The underlying requirement is writing code (Python) that manages (create, maintain, destroy) infrastructure as code. Additional responsibilities include the ability to maintain hardware and software systems and monitor the virtual infrastructure to ensure availability, reliability, and performance. Will also coordinate infrastructure needs driven by developed applications to meet customer mission needs. General tasks include working with customers to define and document requirements, support customer needs by responding to tickets, implement complex permissions to segregate tenants, periodically test recovery operations, create and destroy virtual machines, add/remove/recap hosts, replace failed hardware and other related tasks.

Experience and education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; OR extensive hands-on experience in lieu of degree. Experience maintaining and updating in CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) web applications. Systems administration experience with virtualization and/or cloud technologies. Significant experience in both Windows and Linux Systems administration. Hands-on experience with vSphere systems administration. Strong working knowledge of networking and storage practices. Ability to create and modify scripts to automate routine tasks and to perform complex tasks using Bash, Perl, Python. Experience developing a web-based Perl or Python application in a Linux Apache MariaDB PHP/Python/Perl (LAMP) environment. Experience supporting a medium sized (~500) user environment. Ability to support the development of coding, testing and A&A documentation. Ability to self-direct in project tasking and problem solve technical issues with little guidance.
Must be innovative to lend new approaches and methods to increase efficiency and productivity.

Desired skills and experience: Linux distributions including Red Hat, Ubuntu, and Debian; Atlassian tool suite to include JIRA and Confluence to track activities and knowledge management documentation; Splunk; PHP, MySQL, MariaDB; user and server certificates; maintaining system security plans; excellent written and oral communication skills.

Must have a current TS/SCI w/ Poly
