The Foreman, Civil Crew ("Foreman") will support and oversee the daily construction activities. The Foreman will direct daily activities excavations, Rebar, Underground conduits, and concrete work. The ideal candidate will be capable of working without direct supervision and willing to follow directions and adhere to and closely follow corporate, project, safety, construction, and tower industry standards. The Foreman will be an excellent leader who is well-rounded with extensive industry knowledge and experience. The Foreman will be able to effectively lead a team from project premobilization planning through project completion and debriefing. The Foreman will need to be able to lead an experienced crew as well as train new employees while maintaining a safe and productive job site. The Foreman leads by example, setting the pace to achieve on time completion of quality projects. The Foreman shall display excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. The work spans field services in all weather conditions day or night with occasional assignments to the office, warehouse and other duties.
Crew Management / Execution
- Responsible for maximizing crew efficiency with a focus on safety, quality, and profitability of the service/project through effective site management and leadership.
- Responsible and accountable for all activities of the crew, equipment, and company resources.
- Review and understand project before mobilization to ensure proper loading of tools, equipment, materials.
- Participate in project hand off/kick off meetings to ensure understanding of project details including crew sizes and project specific details.
- Lead and direct field activities in support of efficient project completion.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is on hand before site mobilization.
- Ensure project materials and equipment are properly loaded before site mobilization.
- Ensure all necessary data is obtained by team before demobilizing from site.
- Ensure crew checks in/out of sites as required by Customer.
- Prepare accurate documentation of time and expenses for self and crew and promptly provide to Construction Manager or Project Manager daily.
- Ensure crew recognizes and performs duties within OSHA safety guidelines as well as all applicable safety laws and policies.
- Responsible for bringing projects to completion on budget and on time in a quality manner.
- Communicate with Construction Managers, Project Managers, Customers (as required), to ensure that project is being completed to their satisfaction and to address any satisfaction issues or concerns.
- Communication with Subcontractors (as required) to coordinate site activities, gather data and documentation.
- Properly represent the company by always displaying professionalism.
- Encourage feedback from the crew to address project challenges and develop solutions.
- Display hands on leadership by performing tasks necessary to advance project forward.
- Ensure sites are kept in a neat and tidy manner and site rules are followed.
- Recommend/assist with disciplinary measures as needed based upon Company policies and procedures.
- Acquire lodging as required for self and crew members within project budget constraints.

Reporting
- Assist accounting department with data entry into accounting software. To include expense tracking and fuel reports.
- Assist with database entries and project data uploads. To include project photos and site forms.
- Perform job related reporting requirements per contract and ITL corporate policies and practices use.
- Perform accurate timecard updates daily and sign timecards weekly as required to support reporting and payroll activities.
- Complete and submit professional closeout packages as needed.
- Perform (or assist management with) performance appraisals for crew members as needed.

Safety
- Promote, execute, and adhere to SKDB's safety program and OSHA requirements.
- Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself or endanger the wellbeing of others.
- Cooperate with safety personnel, supervisors, managers, and investigators to ensure proper procedures are carried out in accordance with SKDB's and the customer's safety policies.
- Identify and report safety violations to safety personnel, supervisors, managers.
- Perform and document daily safety meetings to include completion of JHA and JSA forms.
- Assist with training sessions and inspections.
- Provide feedback to managers and the Safety Team to support development of site-specific safety plans.

Driving
- Operate a company vehicle in accordance with local laws/regulations.
- Operate the vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
- Ability to tow a trailer in a competent and safe manner.
- Keep company vehicles clean and orderly.
- Report maintenance requirements and/or damage in a timely manner.
- Maintain a valid Driver's License (DL).
- Maintain additional required operator licenses as directed (Forklift, Aerial Lift, CDL).
- Ability to obtain a DOT card.
- Ensure crew members operate company vehicles in accordance with local laws/regulations and in a safe and courteous manner.

Experience |
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the trades of underground, rebar, Concrete finish.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a civil work foreman

- Well-rounded technical knowledge of activities, tools and equipment associated with the civil construction trade.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and practical use of these guidelines as well as all other applicable safety laws and safety requirements of site owners.
- Ability to read and understand and explain to other's drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting specifications, testing procedures, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to act and solve problems without direct supervision.
- Capable of being entrusted with company assets and confidential information.
- Must have the drive and willingness to teach and lead other employees.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical terms.
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Ability to learn and retain physical and mechanical installation specifications.
- Ability to work overtime to include weekends, holidays, and overnights determined by the needs of the business, must be flexible.
- Must be available to travel and work outside of home market for extended periods of time, based on business needs. Per Diem allotments shall be paid on certain projects.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Strong computer skills and experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams, Costpoint.
- Work schedule will require open availability including weekends, holidays and overnights determined by the needs of the business; must be flexible.
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment, post-offer background check and drug test.
- Support warehouse activities to include loading and unloading of work vehicles and trailers, organizing tools and materials.
- When working on site, will be required to wear common protective or safety equipment, such as full-body harnesses and other PPE.
