The Client Support and Engineering Services Group in the Digital Services Infrastructure and Operations Support Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is hiring an IT Support Specialist! In this role, you'll provide end user support for over ten thousand Windows/Macintosh/Linux computers and mobile devices throughout ORNL. We support ORNL's executive staff encountering tier two computing issues. You will participate in the analysis, design, maintenance, and documentation of intermediate level information technology services for Windows and Macintosh computers throughout ORNL. Additionally, you'd lead IT technical programs impacting all ORNL staff including working across a broad variety of technology areas in an ITIL environment addressing incidents, problems, changes, and requests. Responsibilities include resolving or addressing incidents or requests and serving as one of the main points of contacts for ORNL IT services. These services include supporting: Operating systems; mobile devices (specifically iOS); E-Mail; Backup systems; Active Directory; software product updates; vulnerability resolution; and various support of other software products used on ORNL desktop systems.
